Paste a note
Extract locally, check the facts, then generate a cardiology draft.
Extraction runs locally. No AI review is started by this button.
Review extracted facts
Compare each fact with the source. Correct errors, remove unsupported entries, and add anything missed. Blank fields remain unknown.
Questions and Rounding Assist content are sent to OpenAI. Generate Draft sends the reviewed facts. Review clinical text for identifiers before sending. Verify all output before clinical use. Notes are not automatically saved.
Review cardiology draft
Review the HPI, assessment and plan against the verified facts. Suggested considerations are not treatment orders.
Optional: ask a follow-up cardiology question
Use this only for an extra question about the current case. The structured workflow below remains the main rounding path.
Your answer will appear here. Your clinical note is kept separately.
Answers search your uploaded cardiology educational material first. When it has no supporting citation, a de-identified general-topic search may consult ACC.org. Confirm clinical decisions against the cited source, current authoritative guidance, local policy, and patient-specific factors.
Cardiology Learning
Learn
Study a cardiology topic using your uploaded educational library. Guideline claims still require verification against the cited source and current authoritative guidance.
Choose a mode, enter a topic, and select Study Topic.
External AI: Study topics submitted here are sent to OpenAI for processing. Review entered text for patient identifiers before submitting. Topics and responses are not automatically saved by Cardiology Suite.
Educational use only. Uploaded material may not represent the latest guideline. Verify current recommendations, doses, contraindications, and thresholds against authoritative sources before clinical use.

Bedside Reference
Cardiology Calculators
Use validated inputs carefully. Calculator output supports assessment; it does not replace the full clinical picture, current guidance, or local protocols.
CHA₂DS₂-VASc
Thromboembolic-risk score for patients with clinical atrial fibrillation. Current AF guidance uses estimated annual thromboembolic risk and allows other validated scores/risk modifiers when appropriate.
Reference: 2023 ACC/AHA/ACCP/HRS atrial fibrillation guideline. The app intentionally does not attach a local annual stroke percentage or automatic treatment order to the score.
HAS-BLED Bleeding Risk
Assesses 1-year major bleeding risk in patients with atrial fibrillation to identify and address modifiable bleeding risks.
Reference: Pisters R et al., Chest 2010; 2023 ACC/AHA Atrial Fibrillation Guideline. A high score (≥ 3) indicates elevated bleeding risk and warrants closer follow-up and modifiable risk mitigation; it is NOT a clinical justification to withhold oral anticoagulation for stroke prevention.
QTc Interval Calculator
Calculates heart rate-corrected QT intervals using Fridericia and Bazett formulas to evaluate drug-induced repolarization prolongation and arrhythmia risk.
Reference: Fridericia LS 1920; Bazett HC 1920; AHA/ACCF/HRS ECG Recommendations 2009. Fridericia is physiologically preferred across tachycardia and broad heart rate variations; Bazett overcorrects at heart rates > 100 bpm. QTc > 500 ms indicates high Torsades de Pointes risk.
Cockcroft-Gault Creatinine Clearance
Estimates unindexed creatinine clearance (CrCl, in mL/min) for cardiovascular medication and DOAC dosing guidelines.
Reference: Cockcroft DW, Gault MH, Nephron 1976; FDA Renal Impairment Guidance 2020. CrCl is reported in mL/min (unindexed), distinct from eGFR (normalized to 1.73 m²). Check specific DOAC package inserts for obesity dosing rules.
HEART Score for Chest Pain
Stratifies emergency department chest pain patients for 30-day Major Adverse Cardiac Events (MACE: all-cause death, MI, or urgent revascularization).
Reference: Six AJ et al., Neth Heart J 2008; Backus BE et al., Int J Cardiol 2013; 2021 AHA/ACC Chest Pain Guideline. Supports clinical risk stratification alongside serial troponin and rapid rule-out protocols; does not issue autonomous admission or discharge directives.
Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)
Bilateral lower-extremity peripheral artery disease (PAD) assessment following the 2024 ACC/AHA PAD Guideline.
Reference: 2024 ACC/AHA Lower Extremity PAD Guideline. Uses higher ankle pressure divided by higher brachial pressure for each leg separately. Normal 1.00–1.40; Borderline 0.91–0.99; Abnormal (PAD) ≤ 0.90; Non-compressible > 1.40 (requires Toe-Brachial Index).
Cardiac Index & Hemodynamic Perfusion
Normalizes cardiac output to body surface area (BSA) to evaluate tissue perfusion and shock severity.
Reference: Forrester JS et al., N Engl J Med 1976; Mosteller RD, N Engl J Med 1987. Normal resting CI: 2.5–4.0 L/min/m². A cardiac index < 2.2 L/min/m² indicates cardiogenic hypoperfusion/shock; correlate with PCWP and clinical signs.
Aortic Valve Area (Continuity Equation)
Calculates effective aortic valve area (AVA) using echocardiographic Doppler parameters per 2020 ACC/AHA Valvular Heart Disease Guidelines.
Reference: 2020 ACC/AHA Valvular Heart Disease Guideline; Baumgartner H et al., JASE 2017. Severe AS: AVA ≤ 1.0 cm² (or AVAi ≤ 0.60 cm²/m²; DVI < 0.25). Recheck for measurement errors in LVOT diameter and subvalvular acceleration.
H₂FPEF Score for HFpEF Probability
Estimates the probability of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction in patients with unexplained exertional dyspnea and LVEF ≥ 50%.
Reference: Reddy YNV et al., Circulation 2018; 2022 AHA/ACC/HFSA Heart Failure Guideline. Scores 0–1 indicate low probability; scores 2–5 indicate intermediate probability requiring further diagnostic testing; scores 6–9 indicate high probability.
TIMI Risk Score — UA/NSTEMI
Seven-variable reference score for the original UA/NSTEMI population. The displayed percentage is the original cohort's 14-day composite event estimate, not a current treatment or disposition directive.
Reference: Antman et al., JAMA 2000. Integrate contemporary ACS guidance, ECG/troponin findings, stability, ischemic and bleeding risk, and the local pathway.
GRACE — Local Reference Implementation
This local input-score implementation has not been independently validated against GRACE 2.0. Mortality estimates and treatment recommendations are deliberately withheld.
Safety gate: use a validated GRACE 2.0 tool and current ACS guidance in an approved clinical workflow when a validated mortality estimate is required.
